About Us

The Purple Kitchen Company was started in 2000 by Sally Brown. As a mother of two now teenage children and with a cooking background and extensive business experience, Sally's desire is to offer children an appropriate environment in which to learn to cook and have fun with food. (Her own children started cooking at 18 months old). As a second generation caterer Sally has always had a passion for food

 

Kate Morris is a trained teacher with a B. Ed. (Hons) in Home Economics. After teaching in London for 2 years she went on to write for national consumer magazines. Kate joined The Purple Kitchen Company in 2003, developing a strategy for reintroducing real food education to children. She has two teenagers who love to read recipe books and help test recipes- especially the eating bit.
